Our work focuses on three areas:

If you are an SME and want further guidance or support before you submit an idea please visit the Energy Innovation Centre, of which UK Power Networks is a founding partner. As well as offering direct support in developing your business relationships with energy networks they have lots of resources to support innovators, including a guide to intellectual property (IP).

Additional support and guidance from the EIC can also be accessed through the EIC’s digital hub. As well as providing additional resources such as a ‘Funding Finder’, ‘Testing Facilities Map’ and more, ‘The Hub’ also provides SMEs and innovators with the ability to propose potential solutions in response to ‘Calls for Innovation’, and also to submit details of development proposals or deployment ready products that could help to resolve industry ‘Challenges’.  Thanks to the support provided to the EIC by UK Power Networks and the EIC’s other network partners, registration and access to ‘The Hub’ is free of charge.
